The marine growth, underwater blockages, sediment build-up, and other factors can lead to malfunctions in these underwater infrastructures. Maintaining the operational efficiency of reservoirs is crucial, especially in supplying water to Taiwan's 23 million inhabitants, given the presence of 97 weirs, dams, and large reservoirs. Our team conducted GVI and CVI for three major reservoirs: Shimen, Feitsui, and Wushe. Shimen, for instance, is a vast reservoir covering 763.4 square kilometers with a capacity of 205,260,000 cubic meters, capable of reaching a water storage level of 245 meters. Underwater inspecting of such a reservoir comprehensively, from vertical to horizontal orientations, presents a significant challenge.

Concerning offshore wind measurement masts, the challenges are even more demanding. Varied environmental elements such as temperature, pressure, sunlight, and rainfall necessitate more frequent GVI and CVI to maintain updated data on currents, tides, waves, temperature, and density at sea. In addition to general inspections, the ROV I90 occasionally undertakes repair tasks to address damages.

It allows specialists to monitor marine growth stages, maintain yearly records, document usage statuses, and gather additional insights from the underwater realm.
